Simplified Military Alice Pack Backpack

The MT Military ALICE Pack, designed for heavy-duty use, features a large main compartment measuring 23"x14.5"x10" (583724.5cm) with a capacity exceeding 50L and a weight capacity of over 50 lbs. Weighing 6.5 lbs on its own, the pack is constructed using high-density, 1000D waterproof Oxford fabric with a two-layer PU coating and UTX and Mould Metal Buckles. The pack is available in the iconic Army Olive Drab Green color.

The ALICE Large Pack includes a pouch with a draw cord closure and three outside pockets. Three additional smaller pockets are provided at the top of the pouch for carrying ammunition. The two outer lower pockets are tunneled to the pouch, allowing for the storage of long objects between the pouch and each pocket. These lower pockets feature draw cords at the top for better sealing before closing the flap. The ALICE large pack must be used in conjunction with the LC-1 Field Pack Frame.

The pouch features a separate pocket designed to accommodate a radio. Tie-down cords and D rings inside the pouch can be used to adjust the pack's size when it is not filled to capacity. The pouch flap has a pocket that can be opened by pulling two tabs apart, providing storage for small, flat items. Pressing the flap sides together closes the pocket.

An envelope pocket, padded with spacer cloth, is located at the top, back of the pack, into which the field pack frame is inserted when the field pack is used on the frame. Buckles and straps on each side near the bottom are used to anchor the field pack to the frame. Two rectangular wire loops at the top back of the field pack and D rings on each side at the bottom are used to provide shoulder strap attachment points.

The ALICE Rucksack Large Size System features padded and easily adjustable shoulder straps to help relieve pressure, while the Kidney Pad strap on the frame also assists in distributing heavy loads. A Quick Release Buckle allows the entire pack to be dropped immediately in an emergency situation. The mixed Aluminum and Iron External Frame makes the pack lightweight yet sturdy.

The All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment (ALICE) system, introduced in 1974, was designed for use in various environments, including hot, temperate, cold-wet, and even cold-dry arctic conditions. This versatile and durable pack system remains popular not only among military users but also for civilian activities such as camping, traveling, hiking, hunting, bug-out scenarios, and soft games.
